4worldlovers: The Social Corner is a board game cafe for board game lovers. We believe that play provides an opportunity to take a break from normal routine and connect with others at different levels. Our philosophy is based on research that has shown that play facilitates collective action, community building, creative thinking and general well-being. We offer warm hospitality and aim to be described as a place to gather besides home and work.

At the Social Corner you can enjoy your cup of coffee or glass of wine by our panoramic windows looking down on one of Copenhagen's most popular high streets. Share a plate of nachos and play board games with your loved ones. Need to get in the mood? Hum along to our feel good tunes or request your favourite song to our staff.

The Social Corner invites guests to explore our diverse range of board games. You are welcome to play as many games as you like for 25 kr. You can also get a membership of free play for one year for you and 1 guest for 150 kr.

If you want help from a guru to instruct you with the games the guru should be reserved at least 1 week in advance. For booking a guru you need to reserve a table for at least 4 people. Gurus charge per hour.

4worldlovers: A resurrection of an ancient beer style brewed in Ireland from the neolithic era; up until the 1700’s. This Gruit Ale utilizes Irish Heather tops in place of hops to balance the sweet, rich malts used. Since these ancient brewers would not have known what yeast was, fermentation was carried out by wild yeasts and bacteria creating a naturally tart ale. Festival special we decided to age this beautiful Gruit in a classic French red wine barrel for extra depth of flavour.

Aging for four months in Oloroso Sherry Casks which has held “The Whistler” range of Single Malt whiskeys for 2+ years has extracted complex vanilla and spice notes to this special edition Imperial Stout. Alltech 2018 “Best Beer in Ireland”

4% ABV 35 IBU The White Hag Irish Brewing Company Ballymote, County Sligo

The Phantom Mórrígan, was one of the triple goddesses in Irish mythology. She was the shapeshifter and patron deity of revenge and magic who created the clouds of fog that the Tuatha Dé Danann used to conceal their identities. The Fog in our Hazy IPA conceals heaps of flavour and texture, perhaps unexpected for a beer of this gravity. Description: This is a golden, hazy and sessionable IPA, with a soft, juicy mouthfeel. Big citrus and fruity top notes accentuated by piney, dank undertones. The intentional haze is caused by withholding the finings in the kettle, allowing the proteins to remain in suspension, ultimately binding with the hop oils to deliver the freshest, hoppiest flavour possible. Tasting Notes: Golden hazy, with a hint of orange hues: topped off with a white fluffy head. Hop forward, juicy tropical and stone fruit, supported be dank, sticky pine. Intense tropical fruit, citrus and pine. Soft carbonation, dripping with juicy hops oils. Ingredients: Water, barley, wheat, oats, hops & yeast.

More sessionable, lower abv, same focus on quality, incredible flavours with a different approach to their enjoyment. Taking inspiration from how we like to stay refreshed throughout the summer, home-made lemonade was a no brainer choice.

12. Púca Berry Hibiscus & Ginger - Dry Hopped Lemon Sour Sour - Fruited

The Púca was a mystical force, manifesting itself in multiple forms. It was believed that beer was created magically, a sort of soup possessed by the spirits; but wild yeast was of course the magic at play. For this cloudy, crisp, tart and fruity beer style, we have fostered our own wild yeast. It brings the complexity, the surprise, and it certainly bring the magic. Description: A beautiful pink mixed fermentation beer, brewed with our house cultivated wild yeasts. Using our Púca Lemon as the base beer, we then added loads of ginger to the oil followed by additions of hibiscus, rose hips, strawberries, raspberries and elderberries. Tasting Notes: A tart and refreshing wheat beer brewed with oats, lemon peel, ginger and coriander.The flavour and aroma are dominated by fresh citrus and hibiscus notes. Beautifully balanced acidity, with an ultra refreshing finish. Ingredients: Water, barley, wheat, oats, lemon, coriander, hibiscus, ginger, rosehips & berries.

The Ninth Wave was the immense barrier to the New World that lay beyond the West Coast of Ireland, accessed only by an epic sea voyage. Those who overcame the Ninth Wave returned with the wisdom and knowledge we all ultimately seek. Description: A hoppy citrus American Pale ale with a soft body and a dry crisp. Stuffed with American hops, added in different stages of the fermentation. Refreshing and thirst-quenching. Tasting Notes: Creamy with a light toast, citrus and mangofruits on the nose. Ingredients: Water, barley, hops & yeast.

4worldlovers: We are a volunteer-based café with a heart for games, beers and wine. We are focusing on cozy couch-coop videogames and quality beverages. We are sadly going to stop at our current location, which means last opening day will be hosted with a party on the 10th of December!
